Let's talk about scary movies!
What do you think of the new Friday the 13th?
Anyone else excited to see what Rob Zombie is gonna do with H2?

I own a "library" of horror flix.....mostly from the '70s-'80s.
I havent seen too many remakes (out of the many) that i've really liked alot but i'm still willing to give 'em a shot. Being a fan of the original series, i'll be checkin' out the new "Friday" soon.
I didnt realize Zombie was gonna remake H2, i'll be lookin' forward to that.

I'm a big fan of old horror stuff. Most newer stuff is crap.
H2 is supposed to be out end of August. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1311067/

Cool. I spend hours at a time at imdb, I dont know how that one slipped by me. I'm one of the few people I know that loved the original H2.

IMDB is a must for movie fanatics. I liked the original h2. Normally I would think a remake would be lame but since Rob's doing it I think it may be good.

I thought Zombies remake of Halloween was much better than remakes of some of my old faves like The Fog, Black Christmas, Stepford Wives, etc. I couldnt believe how bad they were. I didnt even bother seeing the Prom Night remake.

The Prom Night remake was terrible. Total garbage. I usually just watch the new "scary" movies for a laugh...or at least something to rant about. haha
I'm more waiting for The Haunted World of El Superbesto (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419724/) than H2. This will be a big year for Zombie I have all so heard that he wants to get out another album.

It has the year 1979 stamped all over it. Super cheezy effects, very likeable characters (which is something i dont get much of in recent movies), and a great villian.
Most "mainstream" moviegoers would absolutely hate it. :D

I see where "The Last House on the Left" is being remade. I wasnt a huge fan of the original but one of the main reasons it was effective was because of its "grainy & grimey-ness". I kinda doubt the new one comes close to the original as far as that goes. I'd be willing to bet that the new one has a different ending as well.

I'm tired of the trend in horror movies where everything is centered around a little boy or girl. I'm aware that small children are "supposedly" more prone to see ghosts, spirits, etc., but still.......enough is enough.
Just my opinion.

It'll never stop cuz stupid people keep on flocking to the theaters to watch it.
