One half of Jedward got his quiff in a twist after his mobile phone number was given out on-stage at a London club.

G-A-Y owner Jeremy Joseph announced Edward's digits to the screaming crowd as the twins promoted their new single Under Pressure on Saturday.

Edward said: "I'm sure it was a joke but now I can't even turn my phone on - it's blocked with so many texts and messages. I can see the funny side of it, even though I'll need to spend all week giving family and friends a new number!" A source said: "The crowd dared Jeremy to tell them the number - but no one thought he'd reveal the right one.

"It was a stupid thing to do. It was the first time that we have ever seen Edward look angry."

THERE is life in the JEDWARD quiff yet. The music career of X Factor freaks JOHN and EDWARD GRIMES looked over after Sony dumped them this week.

But now the twins have signed a new record deal with rival label Universal.

Good news for Jedward, bad news for anyone with ears.

Universal, home to CHERYL COLE and LADY GAGA, swooped for the Dublin duo after hearing of their demise on Tuesday.

A Universal source said: "Execs still see pound signs next to Jedward. Kids love the novelty stuff and money is there to be made."
