We are currently working on uploading a new smiley pack, extending our arcade game selection as well as some other upgrades we've been talking about.

I don't have a timeline as to when this will be completed, but it shouldn't be too long as long as long as our IT team doesn't get sidtracked with other things along the way.

maybe a forum for birthday threads, easy to keep clean, and lock down once the day has gone, delete after a while, and people know where to post lol

also when the site grows, it could be pretty popular and stops other forums from being filled with them. over at chat ave theres loads birthday threads scattered throughout the forums instead of being in a single place. and with your birthday notification at the bottom it makes it useful to let people know who;s bday it is n when to post one lol

How do I know what reputation I have received?

You can view the reputation that you have received in your User CP (User Control Panel) where it is displayed at the bottom of the User CP page.

Here you will see the latest reputation that you have received and whether this is positive, negative or neutral.

Your total reputation will be shown as series of reputation indicators in your posts and profile.

The more positive your reputation, the more positive icons will be shown. The more negative your reputation the more negative icons will be shown.

No it's not my point that you can give and recieve reputation. My two points are you cannot see who has repped you, you can see thread repped in, wether it is positive, nuetral, or negative, and you can see what that person said. But you cannot see who repped you. My other point is that nobody can really spread rep over a couple points at a time making it hard to spread I've been repped like 6 or 7 times (2 nuetral reps) and I only have 15 reputation points. Hope you can fix this. :)

What everyone has to keep in mind is that we do have members here that are under the age of 18 and such topics are inappropriate to discuss in front of them.

On the rare off chance that im not booted, it seems a great room, love the fact that people can create their own rooms, thats a major plus the room has over other chat-sites!!!

I have no trouble connecting and entering the Registered Chat.

There is an alotted user duration for cut off from the room if unactive for a certain amount of time, but as far as connection, it is running smoothly.

Does your computer have trouble running flash content? This might be a reason as to why you are not connecting to the room.

Other than that, I don't know why this is happening.

One of the reasons I love being part of this community is because of how warm, welcoming; friendly and drama free it is.

Now I know that because of the medium this community is in (the internet) there will be some form of drama; however this particular forum manages to do what most others fail to - nips it in the bud.

The point of me creating this thread is that I'm not entirely sure how constructive the thread about drama in the Casual Corner is.
From what I've seen over the past few pages, it's created some (or has had drama spilled over into it from other threads).

I'm all for promoting a drama-free or minimal-drama community; but I'm wondering how much that thread benefits that?

I'm prepared for people to tell I'm taking it too seriously; but in all honesty, I like it here...for the reasons I mentioned before and if something can benefit this forum and make it better, then I'm wondering if that thread might perhaps be better off closed?

I couldn't agree more. This has been a lovely community, and many people take absolute delight in coming here. For many it's a sanctuary of sorts, if I'm honest.

The first I'd actually heard of the 'drama' thread was today, when I opened it to find well, what else: a bit of drama. I'm not sure it's really a thread that needs to be around. I mean, I know what its purpose is, and it's NOT to create drama, but ~shrug~ seems maybe we're better off having it closed.

I know I am new and maybe I should not say too much of what I think so soon, but should I remind you that this is the internet. People come here to have fun and to escape the real world for a few minutes or hours. I have read many posts and I have found that people (members and moderators) are too serious here. Many behave like the internet is the real world and take things to heart. I moderate a forum and have been for 3 years now and I can say it is nothing like this one. I am not saying I do not like this forum but I am also not saying that I like it. I am just being honest.

Totally agree with you Melody. However, I was very upset to see the drama that happened a few days ago. I was told to join this forum because it was a community that didn't have drama, rude people, judgmental people, etc, nothing like past forums I have been too.

However, with this being the internet, I should have known that it wouldn't be 100% drama free and seeing the recent actions, I wonder if I should give up on this forum too, because I really don't want to be part of something that makes people feel bad or hurt. I have seen at forums people attacked for their gender, their religion, their sexuality, their likes and dislikes and from the short time I have been here, that was not illustrated at all. I would really not like to see it end up evolving into a forum like that, fueled by hateful people and trolls.

Well I will end my little rant...glad to see CCG close that drama thread and hopefully no other occurrences gain fuel...because I really enjoy the people here, the friends I made, and would be sad to have to give up this "hideaway" from the daily grind of life

I enjoy seeing your posts, your input and thoughts - you always have something nice and positive to say and that's the kind of personality that will help this community flourish and out-grow the other forums that are around that simply thrive on negativity and where trolling and flaming run rampant.

Now, as to the comment that GMC made.
You say "it's just the internet", but what you fail to realize in your immaturity is that words, no matter the medium they are delivered in; can still cause hurt and upset.
Naturally you cannot hear the tone that someone types in and for the most part, the adage "if you cannot say something nice, don't say anything at all" is one that rings true of the internet.
I strongly suggest that you, along with a few others take that to heart and act on it.

I would like to thank ColoradoCowgirl for taking swift action and closing the drama thread.
Hopefully that will be the start of getting this forum back to the way it should be - friendly, fun and welcoming.

As Alexa and Kumo have both said - this is somewhat of an escape from everyday life for a lot of people and it would be a shame for people to stop coming here because of something as ridiculous and childish as what has happened of late.

WOW ok so i guess since i prefer drama free. i CHOSE to stay away from a thread named DRAMA. now that i see whats in it im glad i did. I really hope no one leaves due to one thread and a few comments. I hate to be the one to say this but if you dont go near the drama and the people who cause it you never have to see it. Also to all the people who keep commenting on it, ummm your adding to the drama. Cant you see that? tell someone to shut up and your starting it. If you dont like it ignore it. if you use your ignore function you never have to see what that person says at all thats just my opinion. if i go into a thread and i see something that can cause potential drama i either leave the thread or i change the subject completely ignoring what has been said. That keeps my time on here drama free. this is just my opinion and i hope i havent offended anyone by it. I just dont want to see anyone gone. You all play a serious part in making this community what it is, and i for one enjoy being here. :)

does anyone know y the user online list shows some names doubled as the list gets bigger?

Our interface picks up those who have logged in or who are visiting the board and stores the cookie time out duration for both the user and the system we run.

It also depends on who and when which users are online and at what times. If the cookie duration time overlaps between user and board, the users will show up twice on one list. This is very common on extensviely large php. memory systems such as ours.

My drop down menu was blank too, but if you click into the drop down menu & press down the moods do appear in the dedicated section above.

I was changing it and it froze, now I can't select it at all.

I did the same thing last night while trying to click 'innocent' i clicked that blank space above it and that disabled mine.

I fixed mine by switching to my IE browser. A little x appears where the mood should be when i'm on IE that i can click and the drop down menu appears. The x doesn't show up when i'm using FF for some reason.

Well that's what we all have to do at times...The threads have been started in the proper forums and we don't need a special place to put them. The whole point of the forum is to give people threads to respond to. You'll just have to hunt for the ones you do like to post in.
