It is said that a good leader speaks only once, and that one time they speak they convene all meaning of motive and purpose. The rest of the time the actions they make speak for them.
What makes a good leader really?
Determination, without this, they could not lead. For the ability to see things through is what is expected of someone that leads. What they say they will do must coincide with what they do.
Drive, every leader has to have a direction or cause, without such there would be no reason to lead. People will follow those that give a sense of purpose.
Motive, there is usually a reason that someone strives to accomplish something, though this is not always so important. A leader must be able to motivate others.
Charisma, why follow any one that does not inspire you? A leader must inspire others.
Humility, generally people do not want to follow someone that are full of themselves, though some lack this quality and still are able leaders.
Voice, any good leader must be heard, not just listened to but heeded and understood. This is the key quality to making a good leader. A leader must have presence to be heeded.
Voice of Leadership
Speak plainly, speak with speed, why speak at all if you won't be heeded?
Give voice to your will, give voice to your concerns. Voice must be given to be heard.
Lead by example, lead by by words, leading is job with twists and turns.
Live life with an openness to what you find, don't discount anything you find.
Never overlook what can't be seen, you never know when "nothing" will become everything.
Pay heed, pay respects, give advice, never give up the fight.
Determination and will of iron give voice to the cause, charisma its source.
There comes a time when you must test your resolve.
Voice is presence, presence is key, when voice is given its time to lead.
Directions will change and minds with them, you must have the strength to see it through to the end.
Bit by bit, day by day, the goal gets closer but seems farther away.
Discouragement and resentment sets in, leaders may see the beginning of their end.
Perhaps the cause is lost, perhaps it will fail, but this should not stop you from trying to prevail.
Hope is the way to keep your dreams alive, its the voice of leadership, its reason, its drive.
So speak or act with a trueness of heart, lead with your voice, never your thoughts.
