you can always burn your own cd's. The RIAA is a screw up so who knows I doubt they just get rid of CD's entirely.

I hope music never gets dominated by ITunes cause that shit sucks.

Acoustic Sounds: biggest seller and producer (Analog Productions) of vinyl records. I've purchased a number of records from them. They also sell a great deal of CD's.
People will eventually start to realize just how bad their current sound system is soon and go back to real audio sources; MP3 is great for running around... but not for genuine listening.

Nope, all my LP's I order from Acoustic Sounds.
Now Best Buy still has a CD section, and even sells some LP's, but actual record stores (even though they didn't sell records that often)... I haven't seen in... 3 years actually. When I was 22 there was still ONE open. The ones in the mall closed, there were a few used shops, and the one record store with the name I forgot.
There used to be a place that bought and sold used CD's, games, DVDs, and even records. But they closed.
I do 90% of my shopping at Acoustic Sounds.
The music stores are a thing of the past, for the most part.
Americans have horrible taste in audio equipment. Hopefully this I Pod Mp3 fad fades away a little.
Some guy tried to convince me that building an entire sound system around my Mp3 player was the best choice...

I know I still buy CD's for the artists I really love. There's something about the book that comes with the CD that I really like lol. I love seeing all the photos/art and the lyrics too. I also have an older 3-CD stereo that I still use...it has great sound and so I love having CDs to play in it when I feel like cranking out the tunes and having a great time.

It definately won't, It's way to convenient when your on the run and want to listen to your music. But I will say some songs sound horrible if you don't get it on CD or whatever. There was one song (I don't remember which one) but it just sounded horrible

Well let's find you.
Best Buy isn't a record store. It's an electronic store that sells everything from washers and dryers to TV's. You can buy video games, software, hardware, computers, TV's, movies, and music. Their selection is actually pretty limited. A lot of the big box stores sell CD's, but they have a VERY VERY limited selection.
Wally World for example sells CD's, but good luck trying to find anything other than the greatest hits, or one of the popular albums. Target sell's CD's as well... same problem. Looking at the Zeppelin tab or ZZ Top, and they have 10 CD's... all of them greatest hits CD's, the same CD... just 10 of them.
It isn't a record store. Hence the: I haven't seen an actual record store in about 3 years, maybe more.
