...ok, some of you might find this silly, some of you might feel the same,...
My grandad fought in World War 2; He fought wth so meany other brave men and women. And i just wanted to share a bit about this, because we can NEVER EVER forget!!! I am not sure why talking about this makes me so emotional.... I guess I remember the stories he use to tell me, on how he was captured, and was sent to one of the concentration camps....
And how he escaped, and walked all the way back to Belgium, to his home.
Now, my grandad is not here any more, to share his stories, to remind us, about what is was like,...
About, how we can never ever EVER forget!!!!
Because I am afraid, that we are,... am afraid, that younger poeple will forget.... That we ow our freedom to so meany brave poeple.
Sometimes, when i go visit my granny, she tells me, about how the trains passed by, the trains that went to the camps,... the trains that never returned.
She tells me of how she would see those poor poeples hands and arms sticking out, looking for air, food,... water....
And then tears would appear in her eyes, still to this day, she cryes,... and says,...
"I never did somethng to help them, I should have gone to those train tracks and tryed to help them...."
Granny gave me grandads dogtag,... and its so very special to me.
I just want us to remember,... can ye understand that? ...idk,....
It seems wth all the hate and anger there is going on in this world sometimes, that we forget,....
I love ya grandad,... xx
have any of you watched Band of Brothers,...
I recommend it strongly,...
I don't think anyone should ever forget especially when there are still people around us that were there and to tell us stories. One of my grandads was a fireman so served in this country and tells many stories about life during the war that I love to hear. My other grandad just won't talk about the war and while I don't want to hurt him by asking questions i'd love to know his stories.

KING HENRY V:
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
